About Patty Long Catering
Patty Long Catering has become a household name when it comes to upscale catering and events planning in the St. Louis area. We are a catering company that owns the 9th Street Abbey, River Bottom Saloon, and the Point of View.
Patty and Long are Deborah Patty and Joan Long. They met and became friends while working as international flight attendants for TWA. When TWA went on strike, in the spring of 1986, Deborah and Joan found themselves with no
job, and decided to put their love of culinary arts to work and start a small catering business and bistro on Lafayette Square. A few years later, Deborah sold her interest in the business to Joan and relocated to sunny California.
In the summer of 1992, Joan and her husband, Wayne, acquired a historic church building that’s come to be known as 9th Street Abbey. Now, the Abbey serves as Patty Long Catering’s elegant headquarters. Over time, the patty
Long name has become synonymous with eclectic dining and special events.

Tiffany & Dan were married at St. Ambrose Catholic Church on the Hill. After the ceremony fun photos followed at Forest Park before the reception. Classically elegant wedding and a joyous time amongst family & friends. A beautiful day! Artistic Soup Photography is grateful for the honor of capturing the cherished memories.

Colleen & Ed were married at the beautiful 9th Street Abbey on October 22, 2011. The Abbey is a special place in that both the ceremony and reception can take place on the grounds which includes a private courtyard on one side of the historic building. Large windows, many with stain glass, are throughout which is a wonderful backdrop for photos as well. Colleen & Ed chose to keep their event laid back cherishing the special time with family and friends and simply enjoy. It was a great day of recording the memories. And Brian Lewin of Millennium Music lit up the dance floor throughout the reception.

Lindsay & Kevin were married on October 15, 2011 at St. Lucas Church in St. Louis. We were fortunate to have a gorgeous Fall day and a wonderful historic Dodge truck compliments of Kevin’s grandfather to use as a prop. After the ceremony, we continued the historic theme by heading over to Kirkwood’s Historic Train Station to continue the fun in photographs before the reception. Millennnium Productions lit up the dance floor with their perfect combination of great tunes at Orlando’s South County which always offers delicious food and impeccable service.
Thank you Lindsay & Kevin for sharing with us your great day!
Lindsay’s Kind Praise featured below as seen on The Knot, Wedding Channel & Martha Stewart’s Wedding Wire. Thank you so much Lindsay! You are simply Fabulous!

I had more anxiety about chosing my photographer than I did my dress! I had a friend get married a few years before me, and her photographer did the whole wedding and NEVER even got the proofs back to her (her wedding was 11/2007). This really scared me as she got a large package that was over $4000! Angela was very understanding, answered all of my questions, and was not pushy in the least. What struck me about her was that she actually listened to what I wanted. I met with other photographers that basically wanted me to do what THEY envisioned (what they do for everyother wedding!). One even went as far to tell me I needed to move the time of my wedding! Angela showed me some of her work from recent weddings, told me she could work with my time constraints, and really put my mind at ease. She did our engagement session and was very flexible with the time. Pictures were posted very quicky, and they were great. Any questions I had were answered very quickly whether it was by email or phone. The day of the wedding she had Christina helping her, and both were great! I had a list of “must have” photos, and they checked them off the list as they got each one. The were very unintrusive during the wedding, and got some awesome shots! After all formal shots were taken, Christina went to the reception hall to take photos before guests started arriving, and Angela took some great pictures of us in downtown Kirkwood. They tag-teamed the event, and they didn’t miss a thing! It was great!
