On September 4, 2010 family and friends flew in from around the country including Florida, Virginia and Maryland to celebrate Rachel and Alexander’s special union. Artistic Soup Photography had the wonderful opportunity to photograph this fun and ohh so in love couple during this beautiful holiday weekend. A big thank you for the honor!

Lauren + Brian married under the new canopy known as the Alton Ampitheater on August 28, 2010. For those of you that love art as we do at Artistic Soup Photography we loved the beauty and uniqueness of this open air space. Reminding us of some of the Beautiful open air fabric artwork by Christo http://www.christojeanneclaude.net/, this setting made for a dramatic special union.
The couple’s reception was held at the Woodlands Golf Course. And with the fun group, great grounds and zooming around in golf carts it was a great time. One of the shots we did was one of our signatures, commonly known as the ring around the rosy pose stop action with the couple in the still in the middle. This was inspired by Henri Matisse The Dance. We originally thought of and created this pose back in 2007 and Lauren & Brian’s Wedding was near its anniversary date. Since then many wedding photographers locally and abroad have copied the pose and we find this to be a great honor and biggest compliment. The later rendition of the running wedding party was conceptualized roughly 6 months later.
Lauren and Brian thank you so much for allowing us to have fun with you on your special day, capture it beautifully and we wish you many many wonderful for years together!

Colleen and Ryan were married on June 5, 2010 and we greatly enjoyed designing their album recently and reliving with them their special day. Here are some of our favorite album highlights:

A super sweet family – The Spencer Family – met us at Tower Grove Park on Thursday for their annual family portrait session. Despite the heat we received all smiles and had a chance to photograph family fun.

Andrea and Sam…a couple we just adore…met us at the downtown City Garden last month for a little engagement session photo fun and then asked us to create a Guest book for their big day in October.
Engagement Session Guestbooks are a fabulous way to showcase your e-session imagery and still have a functional Guestbook. Instead of just text it becomes a memorable coffee table art piece to display.
