On May 14, 2011 Artistic Soup Photography was given the joyous task of photographing Alysha and Kyle’s wedding.
The wedding and reception were held at the Hidden Lake Winery which proved to be an incredible location for fun photos of the couple and their wedding party. Beautiful imagery was created with the help of the winery’s natural beauty such as the lake and vineyard as well as the elegant gazebo.
Alysha and Kyle were such a joy to photograph with their easy going demeanors. It was clear how in love they are and how easily they have fun together.
It was also a pleasure to work with Gigi of Weck Events. She masterfully and seamlessly, with the help of her assistant, decorated the winery for both a ceremony and reception. A true joy to work with!
A big congratulations to Alysha and Kyle on their new life together and a big thank you to the couple for giving Artistic Soup the honor of photographing their big day!

Artistic Soup Photography met Lindsay & Kevin at Bee Tree Park recently despite the rain for Engagement Photos. This playful and loving couple was a true joy to photograph. We can’t wait till their big day in October.

Shauna & Ike – a beautiful couple inside and out Artistic Soup Photography had the great privilege of photographing for their wedding day on April 16, 2011. Although initially the weather looked to be a cold and dreary day as the bride placed on her wedding dress simultaneously the clouds lifted and the sun peered through. Shauna being the sweetheart that she is was not concerned about herself throughout the day but rather her friends, family and even us vendors as we overheard her ask many people “How are you doing?” and her wedding day… Truly an amazing lady!
The ceremony was held at First Baptist Church in Ballwin.
Vlasis Park in Ballwin offered a wonderful backdrop including waterfalls, bridges and a pond before the reception for fun photos and romantic moments.
Then the reception kicked off at the Ballwin Golf Club with a bubble introduction and lots of applause. The detailed wedding decor was impeccably created by the bride herself and beautifully displayed with the help of Kristina Rodgers of KayDi’s Event Planning.
Shauna generously gave us a review on both the Knot and Martha Stewart’s Wedding Wire. Here it is below. Thank you so much Shauna! We loved working with you as well!
Review:
Angela Lamb (owner) & her assistant photographer Christina did an amazing job. I am a bride who is all about the details! I provided Angela w/a LONG outline of shots that I wanted & she and Christina exceeded my expectations–both arrived early and captured EVERY detail. Angela & Christina were very professional as well as personable. They blended well with my family & friends and their presence did not interfere with our day. Angela was always quick to respond to my many e-mails no matter what time it was–NO, REALLY!! My husband & I were VERY happy with their work & their turn around time. Trust us, give Angela a call or stop by her office, you will not be disappointed! OR… if you are like me& like to look at past work, check out her website/blog. She has her work listed as well the work of her other photographers. I look forward to looking at your photos on her blog in the future!! Good luck!

To a professional wedding photographer the work for a couple’s wedding just begins after the wedding day is done. Many don’t realize most of a professional wedding photographer’s time is spent in front of the computer processing and editing for hours on end. The average editing time or 2 photographers for an all day wedding is 30 to 40 hours. This is without doing special effects or major retouching but just general edits such as the one’s displayed below.
Many times in public parks such as the Arch Grounds especially on a beautiful day there is a sea of people to work around. Some you can truly work around while others you just know you have to edit out later. Here is an example of that fix. Plus a little brightening and lighting of the overall image was done.

This couple chose a absolutely gorgeous setting for their wedding at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. It was truly picture perfect minus the “horns” growing out of their heads from the trees in the background. Nothing a little editing won’t fix.

Part of the standard service Artistic Soup Photography provides is to do all these edits upfront so your images loaded to your online viewing & print ordering portal AND the images provided on your Hi-RES DVD are just as the should be…Picture Perfect.
